Same point:
1. They are all synthetic fibers in chemical fibers.
2. High strength and good wear resistance; widely used in clothing and industrial purposes
3. Poor air permeability, stuffy and uncomfortable to wear, easy to generate static electricity.
difference:
1. The specific gravity is different. Polyester 1.38, Nylon 1.14
2. Polyester fabric is not easy to wrinkle, and is crisp, with good dimensional stability and shape retention. Nylon has poor shape retention, is not as crisp as polyester, and is easily deformed.
3. The melting point of polyester is 260°C, and the ironing temperature can be 180°C. The heat resistance of nylon is not good enough, the ironing temperature should be controlled below 140°C, and the low temperature resistance is good.
4. Nylon has high strength, good elastic recovery ability, excellent wear resistance, and better hygroscopicity and dyeability than polyester.
5. Polyester is resistant to sunlight, acid and alkali. Nylon is alkali-resistant but not acid-resistant, and its light resistance is not good. When exposed to sunlight for a long time, the fiber strength will decrease and the color will turn yellow.
6. Nylon weaving feels smoother and has a higher surface gloss. There are more clothing materials in sportswear, swimwear, bodybuilding clothes, and socks.
7. Polyester fiber is the most produced synthetic fiber in the world. Polyester fabrics mainly include knitted shirts, work clothes, warp-knitted decorations, curtains, etc., and imitation silk, imitation wool, imitation linen, cotton wadding, etc. are also widely used. Polyester staple yarn is often blended with cotton, wool, linen, viscose, etc. The fabric not only maintains the characteristics of polyester such as firmness, wear resistance, crispness, and easy storage, but also has the characteristics of natural fiber moisture absorption, warmth retention, and less static electricity.
